The Artscape Theatre Youth Comedy Festival is set to have audiences laughing their socks off when four of Cape Town’s funniest stand-up comedians take to the Artscape Arena stage on 14 – 15 June at 19:30.

It will feature four of the funniest local comedians, from up-and-coming to professional including the likes of Eureka Nkese (one of SA’s rising comedy stars with almost of experience performing on stage and on-screen with his style of comedy being described as topical and observational, poking fun at everyday life making his material more relatable to a diverse audience), Phil de Lange (having performed in the top comedy venues in South Africa and Germany and recently chosen to perform alongside Trevor Noah in the NationWild 2018 showcase, Phil’s style is set to deliver an awkward, self-deprecating, and tongue-in-cheek style humour to the audience) and Lindy Johnson (a new comer from Paarl who has rocketed to success by winning the Savanna “Show us your Apples” Open Mic 2017 showdown and has already started making her mark, having performed on esteemed stages such as the Cape Town Comedy Club, Rocking the Daisies 2016 and the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival 2017.

The Youth Comedy Festival forms part of Artscape’s Youth month festivities and focuses on bringing young and upcoming comedians into a professional performance space thereby giving them the opportunity to expose and establish themselves in the comedy industry.
