MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

This weekend marks a host of celebrations and commemorations for religious adherents of respective faiths including Christianity, Judaism, Buddhist, Sikh and Hindu.

Christians will be observing Easter which signifies a time of renewal. Jews will be observing the Passover which signifies liberation while certain Hindus together with those of the Sikh faith will celebrate Vaisakhi/Baisakhi

It is interesting noting the similarities and intertwining of the significance of these respective religions celebrations being observed over this period.  It should signify a desire and hope in humankind that while we may have separate faiths, religions and cultures including the non-religious, we remain one human race that can attain unity in diversity.

Artscape would like to take this time to thank all our Patrons of these respective faiths, as well as all others, for their continued support of the cultural institution and the Arts in general.

The staff and I wish would like to wish Christian adherents a Blessed Easter, Chag Sameach to members of the Jewish Faith and Happy Vaisakhi/Baisakhi to all Hindus and Sikh who celebrate it. Additionally we’d like to wish Muslim adherents a blessed continuous of fasting during the month of Ramadan.

May your respective observances and celebrations be peaceful, joyous, and contemplative and may we all find the renewal that it signifies.
