November is also National Disability Rights Awareness Month. The cultural institution creates awareness of this often marginalised cohort of persons through the Artscape ArtsAbility Festival, creating an innovative, creative space of exciting, heartfelt performances for disabled and able-bodied artists and performers that brings to the stage an array of breath-taking art pieces, which celebrates the abilities of artists with disabilities culminating on International Day for persons living with Disabilities, marked annually on 3 December. Staying true to the theme Disability, Dance and Diversity, Artscape, along the Unmute Dance Company, has partnered with guest productions from abroad – Diversity in Dance UK, Sensorium EX and Danish New York – to bring fresh, new performances for audiences to revel and immerse themselves in.
We are excited to host you at your theatre of choice and trust that you will find joy in attending these productions.
