SUMMARY:Bridgetown Theatre Company’s - Gen Z.A!
DESCRIPTION:Bridgetown Theatre Company’s -Gen Z.A! is a bold\, high-energy dramedy musical that blends song\, spoken word\, acting\, and dance to tell a compelling and interactive story full of humour\, heartache\, love\, and anger. With sharp satire\, the production explores how Generations Z and A navigate their hyper-digital world — caught between influencers\, social media\, career dreams\, non-traditional education\, and an ever-present sense of economic injustice. \nSet in a post-pandemic world — no social distancing\, masks\, or sanitizers required — Gen Z.A! invites the audience into a participatory experience\, where props become plot devices and viewers help steer the story. Despite the chaos of gimmicks and scattered seating\, the cast commands attention with confidence and charisma. \nAt its core\, Gen Z.A! gives voice to the frustrations and insights of today’s youth: from unemployment\, marginalization\, and identity\, to sexuality\, race\, and social inequality. It’s an unfiltered\, “no-holds-barred” portrayal of what it means to be young\, aware\, and disillusioned in a complex world. While its themes may seem heavy\, the execution is vibrant — packed with sharp wit\, captivating choreography\, electrifying music\, and brilliant performances. Fast-paced and fearless\, this 45-minute production pulses with the urgency and spirit of its generation. \nDuration: 45min; no interval\nAge Restriction: None\nLatecomers will not be admitted \nKindly note Artscape provides wheelchair seating.
