DESCRIPTION:This event was launched in 2003 as the Youth Jazz Festival. The project has grown \nextensively over the years to accommodate the enormous interest and exceptional talent of \nyoung jazz musicians. As the project continues to evolve it is now known as the Youth Jazz \nSeries. \nThe Artscape Youth Jazz Series is a vital part of Artscape’s youth educational programmes. This inspiring initiative nurtures young jazz musicians through mentorship and masterclasses\, and it empowers the next generation with musical excellence\, confidence\, and cultural pride. By creating a platform for emerging talent\, the series celebrates South Africa’s rich jazz heritage while fostering creativity\, discipline\, and community among youth from diverse backgrounds. \nYouth Jazz Soloists showcase their talent on Friday 12th June 2026 and the \nSchool Jazz Bands will perform on Saturday 13th June 2026 at the Artscape Theatre. \n \nKindly note Artscape provides wheelchair seating. You can book directly via this website but should you require assistance please call Artscape Dial-a-Seat on 021 421 76 95 who will assist with navigation and booking. \n  \nImportant Notice: PAID PARKING FOR ARTSCAPE THEATRE \nSecure parking is available for Artscape patrons at the Cape Town Civic Centre basement parking area.
