SUMMARY:Youth Jazz Series
DESCRIPTION:This event was launched in 2003 as the Youth Jazz Festival. This project has grown extensively over the years to accommodate the enormous interest and exceptional talent of young jazz musicians. As the project continues to evolve it is now known as the Youth Jazz Series. Young musicians were auditioned to be part of the programme for the 2023 edition. The project includes Masterclass programme’s  where the young musicians will learn from those experienced in the industry and then they will take to the across two days: School Jazz Bands will perform on Youth Day\, Friday 16th June 2023\, and the young aspiring Jazz Soloists will get to showcase their talent on Saturday 17th June 2023 at Artscape Theatre. \n

DESCRIPTION:It has been few years since Thandiswa Mazwai graced the stages of Cape Town. She brings along an exclusive One Night of special performances to be remembered as she will be taking the audiences through all their favourite music\, taking them on a sonic journey she calls “A Letter To Azania”.
