DESCRIPTION:The program honours legendary artists with deep Artscape ties: Dizu Plaatjies\, Amanda Strydom\, Thembi Mtshali-Jones\, Coenie De Villiers\, Vicky Sampson\, Ian Smith\, Koos Kombuis\, alongside Artscape’s associated companies. \nAlso taking turns in the spotlight are Jodi Jantjies\, Mandisi Dyantyis\, Loukmaan and Emo Adams\, Alistair Isobelle\, Jody Abrahams\, Robin Pieters\, Nuur Leeman and poet Siphokazi Jonas\, joined by our divas Lenelle Kenned\, Zahn Stapelberg\, Fancy Galada and Karin Kortje. \nJazz musicians: George Werner\, Amanda Tiffin\, Don Vino Prins\, Wesley Rustin \nThe South African Youth Choir\, Riel dancers from Betjiesfontein\, Indian Taare Dance troupe\, Thandi Grootboom’s Women Unite and the ABFAB Drag ensemble \nDirected and curated by Basil Appollis and Marlene Le Roux. \nCape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is conducted by Brandon Phillips.
