Visionary director Marthinus Basson launches CTO’s 2017 season with an explosive new staging of Verdi’s dark melodrama, conducted by Kamal Khan. Metropolitan Opera regular Fikile Mvinjelwa returns to Cape Town to play the hunchbacked jester of the title, with Belvedere Singing Competition finalists Noluvuyiso Mpofu and Lukhanyo Moyake starring as Gilda and the licentious Duke of Mantua

Toilets for wheelchair-bound patrons are situated in the Marble and Chandelier Foyers of the Opera House and on the lower level of the Theatre Foyer.

Limited parking bays are available for bona fide Disabled Parking Disc Holders in the tunnel area opposite the Stage Door entrance and in the staff parking area. A drop off facility is available in the tunnel area for patrons who have difficulty walking.
