German Federal President Joachim Gauck will hand the prestigious German-Africa Award at a special ceremony in Berlin in November this year to two people who are active in the Western Cape’s arts and culture sector.
They are satirist Pieter-Dirk Uys and Artscape Director of Audience Development and Education Marlene le Roux.
German Ambassador to South Africa Dr Horst Freitag recently received the two achievers at his Cape Town residence where the Delft Big Band provided the entertainment.
