Woman Zone Story Café on December 7 features A Tale of Two cook books. Simple, tasty food is evident from both authors.

Pumla Brook-Thomae shows her love of food through her TV show and her groups or one-on-one cookery classes. Her second cook book Familyfood Simplified offers her uncomplicated recipes with a modern take and maintains that cooks need to live a life and not be tied to the kitchen! Emmaleen  Kriel is a mother of seven with two books published and this cookery book was written by her alter ego, Giblet,  a cloth doll she made for her children.

Woman Zone Book Club on December 14 takes place on the second Saturday of every month. It is flexible afternoon where members have a lively afternoon discussing books and meeting local guest authors. This month we meet writer and literary critic Karina Szczurek who recently started her own publishing house: Karavan Press, an independent publishing house devoted to excellence and integrity.

Underground Parking

The underground municipal car park linked to Artscape is open for public parking from 17:00 on weekdays and an hour before the starting time of shows on weekends. It closes at 24:00. The parking fee is R24.00 and R15.00 for pensioners.

Wheelchair Access

Limited facilities for wheelchairs areavailable in the Opera House and Theatre in accordance with safety regulations. Wheelchair seats can be booked at the Artscape Box Office, at any Computicket outlet, or through the Computicket call centre. Please note that the Arena is not wheelchair friendly. Toilets for wheelchair-bound patrons aresituated in the Marble and Chandelier Foyers of the Opera House and on the lower level of the Theatre Foyer. Limited parking bays are available for bona fide Disabled Parking Disc Holders in the tunnel area opposite the Stage Door entrance, and in the staff parking area. A drop-off facility is available in the tunnel area for patrons who have difficulty walking. Prior arrangements in all regards should be made with the Theatre Manager.
