“God vergewe ons baie, maar God vergewe ons nie die kwaad wat ons ’n kind aandoen nie.” Fiela Komoetie het haar wit vondelingkind Benjamin met liefde en trots grootgemaak tot die dag nege jaar later waarop die sensusmanne hom kom haal het. Aan die ander kant van die berg, in die bos, woon die houtkapper Elias van Rooyen en sy vrou Barta, wie se driejarige Lukas weggeraak het. Is Benjamin en Lukas dieselfde kind? Jare later is dit Benjamin/Lukas self wat worstel met die vraag: Wie is ek? Hy móét weet, anders kan die vrou wat hy liefgekry het nooit syne wees nie. Die antwoord is daar, weet hy: iewers in homself, diep verskuil in die verlede, bly dit hom ontwyk.

Underground Parking

The underground municipal car park linked to Artscape is open for public parking from 17:00 on weekdays and an hour before the starting time of shows on weekends. It closes at 24:00. The parking fee is R21 and R13 for pensioners.

Wheelchair Access

Limited facilities for wheelchairs areavailable in the Opera House and Theatre in accordance with safety regulations. Wheelchair seats can be booked at the Artscape Box Office, at any Computicket outlet, or through the Computicket call centre. Please note that the Arena is not wheelchair friendly. Toilets for wheelchair-bound patrons aresituated in the Marble and Chandelier Foyers of the Opera House and on the lower level of the Theatre Foyer. Limited parking bays are available for bona fide Disabled Parking Disc Holders in the tunnel area opposite the Stage Door entrance, and in the staff parking area. A drop-off facility is available in the tunnel area for patrons who have difficulty walking. Prior arrangements in all regards should be made with the Theatre Manager.


Maynardville :
Parking

Parking is available in adjacent Wynberg Library parking area of the North East side of the park. Public can also utilise street parking that runs along the perimeter of the park but is requested to be sensitive to the needs of the residents in the area.
